Router password handling
Never paste Wi-Fi, router, recovery or administrator passwords into ordinary ticket notes.
Stop before proceeding. Do not disclose passwords, bypass security, access provider infrastructure or continue if the device may contain evidence of a cyber incident.
Use temporary, time-limited or client-entered credentials wherever possible. Do not send passwords through public review text or community reports. Revoke temporary access after support. Any technician asking to retain a password should be reported through the complaint workflow.
